The Skills Education Group Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (Formerly know as the OCN)
This course delivers a higher standard of training than our competitors, as we include advance handstripping and confirmational styling techniques. This course is perfect for those who prefer a more holistic assessment process and for those who feel uncomfortable with timed exams.
This course uses a portfolio to document assignment work and evidence of practical skills.
This nationally recognised qualification encourages skills necessary when grooming dogs with different types of coat. Learners will learn how to use a variety of equipment and increase their knowledge of grooming styles.
Learners will gain knowledge of canine first aid and have an understanding of the health and wellbeing of different breeds of dog and will have an opportunity to gain competence in the Dog Grooming workplace.
Unlike many courses, we start practical training from day one of your course, so you can start gaining confidence with the different tools and handling dogs straight away.
We have a great online revision source available to all our learners, to make completing theory based work a breeze.
This qualification has been designed for those looking to become professional dog groomers or those who already groom dogs but do not currently hold a nationally recognised qualification.
No previous experience or level 2 qualification is required to enrol for this course. Here at Just 4 Paws, we include training for all techniques, including Hand stripping. This is an important salon technique and is not required as standard for the SEG.

Full aftercare support is given along with business set up advice and guidance. No previous experience is required, this will take you from being a complete beginner up to where you can run your own business as a stylist.
