How to become a dog groomer!!

Becoming A Dog Groomer & How to get started

It's important to insure you choose the right course and training centre. Training centres which are approved with City & Guilds or run through an approved centre will insure that you are trained to meet certain standards set out by the the highly recognised awarding body City & Guilds. Just 4 Paws run intensive courses which currently allow you to complete a level 3 qualification if you enroll to start by August 2017. As from September 2017 the Level 2 qualification will become a mandatory entry requirement before embarking on the level 3 course. So this will make achieving a level 3 qualification more costly and timely. So we are going to teach level 2 not only on the basic assistant structure set out by City & Guilds but also on the level 3 structure. This will mean you can complete a 22 day level 2 course and still be able to work as a grooming stylist or run your own business straight away at the end of your course . Yes it will be a level 2 qualification but your skill level will be at a Level 3 stage.  You will be able to move on to level 3 when you have 6 months experience at grooming , or you can choose to complete an extended 40 day course and complete level 2 & 3 consecutively .

Our current courses and new courses are listed on our website www.just4paws.org.uk . Bookings are being taken for the existing courses still but places are limited now , or you can book on to one of our new courses starting September 2017.
